A refreshing reality TV series I directed for local Azerbaijani television. Ideya Qazandi is a business format show as well as a social project where judges, through their companies, reward participants for good business models they present. This series is a revolution in the way TV is made in the country, not only in terms of content but also in quality.
The first episode of Ideya Gazandi aired in the Summer of 2014 on ATV (Channel One) in primetime. It was really a game changing series for Azerbaijan as nothing like it had ever been produced locally before.
With a big budget and a cast and crew of up to 50 people, the series was filmed in the capital of Baku in December of 2013. More episodes can be seen at the Ideya Qazandi Youtube Channel here.
A promotional documentary film about Japanese Artisan Craftmsanship I directed in Japan.
The Niigata portion seen here was shown as a display at Saki restaurant in Smithfields, London for over six months, as well as the Frankfurter Messe Design show and the Tokyo Interior Design Show.
My graduation film, for which I did cinematography, was shot across various locales in Portugal on Arri Super 16 SR3 Camera's and Kodak Vision 2 50D and 250D film stock.
A documentary short I directed about a restaurant in London where you eat in the dark and all the waiters are blind. The restaurant was a social project to raise awareness of the blind.
The chef uses many exotic ingredients and all the menu's are a surprise which keeps you guessing until you leave the pitch black dining area. A true sensory experience that is to be had at least once in one's life.
A Super 16mm short film shot in London that I DPed on. We used Arri SR2 camera's with Kodak Vision 2 500T film stock.
